AZ Pow Wow

Last year, I experienced my “first shot” at using a Fuji S-2 to capture what most of us can only imagine exists in the American Southwest… a Native American Pow Wow hosted by the Navajo Nation, Window Rock AZ. This is not a commercialized event, it is a community event, and very much a part of Native American heritage, culture and faith. Always gracious hosts, if you plan on attending the event–Please abide by requests to not photograph or talk during sacred events you are privy to witness. Case in point, if an Eagle Feather is dropped during the ceremony–EVERYTHING STOPS. I also plan to use IonosGear1 to change out lenses in this dusty environ and use my new Nikon D-90.
