Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boston: Unique Images

Spring has finally arrived in the Northeast. A wonderful artist and former high school classmate provided some input on a Boston location with unusual imagery. Jane Wiley has always had an eye for the unusual (and oft time disconcerting). A gifted draftsman, she is using digital art to create new worlds. She gathers her inspiration from architecture, landscapes, sea life and perhaps the fourth dimension.

Jane suggests Forest Hills Cemetery as a place for Great Clicks! Jane provided the photographs for this post.

Forest Hills Cemetery is located in the Jamaica Plan area, a mostly residential section of Boston. This 275 acre area includes the cemetery, green space, arboretum, and sculpture garden.

The non-profit Forest Hills Educational Trust presents cultural programs, exhibitions, concerts, poetry readings, and walking tours. They also conduct a Buddhist inspired Lantern Festival and a traditional Mexican Day of the Dead. The trust’s blog offers interesting backgrounds on the historical personages buried at the cemetery and information on their special events.
Forest Lawn offers vistors and photographers a rich visual experience.
